The problem: 

Ormond Pipework was called to amend and decommission part of an existing gas installation. Upon surveying site, it was deemed there was a faulty valve which failed to isolate the 10” gas supply. 

Due to the location of the faulty valve, the gas for the entire site would have been closed off in order to carry out the original works, causing loss of production and major expenses.

Our solution:

To avoid costly downtime Ormond’s gas engineers recommended line stopping the main. Bagging Off (as it's otherwise known ) the gas supply in essence created temporary valves, which allowed for a new valve to be safely installed.
